How information is used on Featdaddy

Last updated October 25, 2026

Featdaddy is a fan-made DC Universe Online lookup and ranking service. This page explains the information the site requests, what may be stored, and the third-party services used to measure traffic and support advertising.

Character and league data

When someone searches a character, Featdaddy requests publicly available game information from the official DCUO Census. This can include the character name, server, level, combat rating, skill points, completed feat identifiers, league membership and equipped item identifiers. Featdaddy may store a snapshot so rankings, mappings and later lookups remain useful. A player lookup does not require a DCUO account password and cannot modify the game account.

Site administration

Administrator accounts are separate from player searches and are used to maintain feat mappings, item names, announcements and articles. Login sessions are protected server-side. Public visitors cannot access the administration area.

Analytics

Featdaddy uses Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful, how visitors reach the site and whether features such as character search are working. Analytics may process device, browser, approximate location, referral and interaction information under Google’s own terms and privacy controls. Featdaddy uses these reports in aggregate to improve performance and content.

Advertising and cookies

The site uses Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to select, deliver and measure ads, subject to consent and regional requirements. Visitors can manage cookies in their browser and can use Google’s advertising settings to control personalized advertising where available. Ads are not currently guaranteed to appear while the site is under review.

Hosting and operational logs

Like most websites, the hosting provider may create routine security and access logs containing technical information such as request time, browser details and network address. These logs support reliability, abuse prevention and troubleshooting.

Data quality and corrections

Character facts originate from Census and can change when the game updates. Feat labels are maintained separately and may be corrected when a more reliable match is found. Featdaddy avoids publishing unverified descriptions as if they were confirmed.

Your choices

You can browse most public pages without signing in. Browser controls can restrict cookies, and Google provides separate controls for Analytics and advertising preferences. Blocking some technologies may affect measurement or advertising but should not prevent the core character lookup from working.
